Science City and Science Park

Gujarat Science City is a complex that aims to create a scientifically literate society by making science interesting for children and the younger generation using minds-on experiences, working models, virtual reality, simulators, activity corners, labs and live demonstrations.

One of the centre’s objectives is to attract students to science education and careers.

The Gujarat Council of Science City was mandated to build this science centre. By the early-2000s, the centre was ready and exhibitions were held at Science City during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in 2005.

Gujarat Science City is a sprawling complex with pavilions, halls, galleries and outdoor exhibits covering a widerange of subject matter such as the generation of electricity, alternative energy, space and life sciences.

Visitors can tour the energy park, the electro dome, the hall of science, the pavilion dedicated to Planet Earth and a Life Science Park, try their hands at the interactive exhibits and working models, and watch a movie at the 3D theatre.

The centre has a motion simulator that offers the experience of a trip to Mars. At night, they can also see the musical fountains.
