Rani Sati Mandir is a temple located in Shahibaug, an area with a sizable Marwari population.
This temple is dedicated to Rani Sati, also identified as Narayani Devi and referred to as Dadiji (grandmother), who immolated herself on her husband's death.
The temple has a shikara and a dome-like structure over its entrance. A profusion of white marble has been used in the flooring and claddings. The interiors are fairly elaborate with columns, carvings and decorations.
Rani Sati Mandir is one of the most beautiful and revered temples in Ahmedabad, where thousands of people come to worship a trident which represents almighty power.
