The Astodia Darwaja (Darwaza) or the Astodia Gate is one of the historical gates of Ahmedabad.
As the city of Ahmedabad began to expand, the Sultans began to build an extension to the walled city. This gate was the southeastern gate of the walled city and part of the second fort that was completed by Sultan Mahmud Begada.
The gate is now like traffic island on the main road. Built from ashlars stone masonry where all stones are dressed or cut to a uniform shape, size and surface appearance. The gate is adorned with lotus medallions. It is close to many historical neighbourhoods like Dhal-ni-Pol and Ashabhil-no-Tekro.
