Kalulpur Gate

Mohammad Begada, the then ruler of Gujarat, built the Kalupur Darwaja in the 15th century. Food supplies were brought into the city through Kalupur Darwaja. Made of iron-plated timber, Kalupur Darwaja is 27-feet-high and has slits through which guns could be fired from inside. Though the fort wall enclosing the old Ahmedabad city is mostly in ruins or removed in most places, the entry gates still stand.
